This is called Kid Science because many of us learn about scientific ideas with our "kid mind."  I've taught thousands of adults the science underlying the health and development of our cells and body.  What I discovered, start as a kid in explaining what you're aiming for.  Even with a PhD in biochemistry, I still learn the workings of our body best through children's books which offer many pictures and stories for our imagination.  So, too, here.

Over time, the work of other science, health, and environmental storytellers will appear.  Enjoy!

Good FOOD
It tastes great.
It provides nutrients we need for life.
When its farmed without pesticides its likely to provide better nourishment for the land, the farmers and us.
When it's shared with people we like it tastes even better.

Here we'll begin exploring the goods in food.

Filmmaker Kristi Moya produced a beautiful short film (8 minutes) which illustrates the reality of a teen eating alone and discovering the joy of fresh, local food.  Kristi, Allan Hogle, and I put together a resource guide for teachers and families to explore sharing food and gardens.  Please feel free to share this guide and look at http://www.bornofwomanfilms.com If you find find the guide useful, please let us know.
